Well. I would like this morning to indicate more precisely what the revelation on the tree of Life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was. You see? I want to explain what Moses saw ... And what God was talking about when He spoke to Adam ...
First, let's read Genesis 3:22 to 24 " And Jehovah Elohim said, Behold, Man is become as one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he stretch out his hand, and take also of the tree of Life, and eat, and live for ever… And Jehovah Elohim sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken. He drove out Man; and he set the Cherubim, and the flame of the flashing sword, toward the east of the garden of Eden, to guard the way to the tree of Life."
Let’s pray. ... Lord Jesus Christ, bless this moment! There is no piano here, there is no carpet here, or choir, or fan or air-conditioner, the place is even very small to contain us, but here there is the Word of God promised for this hour and make that all those who are here this morning may understand It. For you have the power to do it! Amen!
Well. When God was speaking to Adam that day, it was in Genesis 2:16, telling him not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Eve was not there and Adam was what we will be in the Millennium. Everything was beautiful and harmonious. And Adam was God and Adam was living at the same time in the spiritual and physical dimension.
Adam had seen with his spiritual eyes what these two trees were and he had the interpretation of it, but after the fall, cherubim were placed there with flashing swords to prevent him from approaching it. You see? Sin made that God started to act towards Adam as if He had never known him. And the most pitiful thing is that two thousand years later, those same cherubim did not allow Prophet Moses to approach the tree of Life nor see it. Moses stood so far ... Well. Moses, the prophet of the law, was coming forward with the blood of bulls and goats upon him.
Oh, poor Moses! He wanted to come forward and see what it was, but the cherubim shouted to him with a loud voice: “Stop! Stop Moses!!!” And Moses stood at a distance and wept. Had Moses wept when he saw the cherubim with the spinning swords? Yes Brothers, just believe it! Why? Because mankind was doomed to perdition.
But two thousand years after Moses, the sacrifice was made through the Lord Jesus ... And on the island of Patmos, John, who was a great-grandson of Adam, approached and when the cherubim saw him, He said, "I am John, a great-grandson of Adam, and I am a prophet of Moses’ descents. I come, not with the blood of bulls, goats, but with the blood of the Lord Jesus ...” [Ed: The congregation says, “Amen!”]. You see?
John was not coming with the blood of lambs and goats like the Muslims, but he was coming with a superior blood, the blood of God, the blood of the Lamb of God. And one of the cherubim told him, like a voice of thunder, "Come and see! ". [Ed: The congregation says, “Amen!”]. And John said, "And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, coming forth from the throne of God and the Lamb. In the midst of its street, and of the river, and on this side and that side, the tree of Life, bearing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree for the healing of the nations.” Revelation 22:1 to 2. You see?
This tree is the Lord Jesus Christ who bore twelve fruits, that is to say, the twelve apostles. We see that at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the Bible. And in the middle of the Bible, Judas Iscariote was the representation of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil beside the Lord Jesus.
Now notice that John stood so close to the tree, so close to the throne, so close to the river that he could even no longer see the four branches as Moses talks about them in Genesis 2:10 to 14, that is to say, the four Gospels. He went beyond the four branches of the Gospel. They are not four Gospels but four aspects of the same Gospel. Moses stood so far that he could see but four branches, far, outside the altar and the sanctuary, yonder behind the cherubim!
Those four branches, Adam could have access to them, Moses could have access to them, Baptists and Branhamists could have access to them, even Catholics could have access to them. What is it? It was the inner court whereas Eden was the perfection, I would say the presence of God. Eden was the holy of holies.
What Aaron was doing on earth with the blood of bulls and goats was only for the earthly image unless it is the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. I mean that when Aaron entered the holy of holies, it was for the days to come when the blood of Jesus would be shed. Do you understand that? I have faith that the same Spirit that is here will seize the four ministries to explain all this. Amen!
And now, let’s consider these four branches; to which Gospel each of these rivers of Genesis 2:10 to 14 corresponds? Let’s read that! … “And a river went forth from Eden, to water the Garden, and from thence it divided itself and became four main streams.”
Let's pay attention now! "The name of the first is Pison: it is the one which surrounds the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. And the gold of that land is good; the bdellium and the onyx stone are there." It is the book of Matthew; it is the lion. Amen! "And the name of the second river is Gihon: that is it which surrounds the whole land of Cush." Cush, it is Ethiopia, it is about the Gospel of Mark here. Amen!
"And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which flows forward towards Asshur." And Asshur, it is Babel which became Babylon, it is the reign and the aspect of man. It is the book of Luke. Amen! "And the fourth river, that is Euphrates." And here it is the Gospel of John and Revelation. And when he says, "The fourth river, that is Euphrates",he says nothing. You see? Amen!
Well. Let’s come back now to Revelation 22:1, John thought in his heart, "If such is the tree of Life, I would better look on the other side, for the one of the knowledge of good and evil must not be far". Yes, this tree could have been there, but when the sin took place, God cut it down.
The same way that God cut down the serpent, its representation in the garden was cut down. When the sin took place, God cut down, in Eden, that tree which had the appearance of the natural tree and which was close to the tree of Revelation 22. Even before God made the sacrifice, that tree was cut down.
The same way, before the sacrifice of Jesus was made on the cross of Golgotha, God cut Judas Iscariote down ... You see? God did not allow Judas to subsist beside the Lord Jesus after the resurrection. God had cut down their spiritual and symbolic representation in the Heaven and now God was cutting down their physical interpretation on the earth.
Thus, in the garden, Adam should have the interpretation, the revelation that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that was there was not a tree like the one of Revelation 22:1 to 2 but the serpent. That is to say, some religious leaders. It is the tree of theology. Do you understand that? Every Muslim, Catholic, Protestant, evangelical or Branhamist leader is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Very well! That's it.
The Lord Jesus Christ is therefore the tree of Revelation 22:1 to 2 with the twelve fruits and whose leaves are the miraculous virtue to heal the nations. You see?
Now pay attention to what I am going to say, for this is the spiritual revelation of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that you must bear in mind. Spiritually, those two trees were God and Satan, the Spirit of God and the spirit of the devil.
Then trees only spiritual as seen in Revelation 22:1 to 2, whose physical interpretation was, on the one hand, Adam himself in his divine State before the woman was even formed, and on the other hand the serpent of before the fall. And if the forbidden fruit by God is the sexual act, see also in every son of the devil, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. You my disciples, Brothers and Sisters, keep yourselves from this tree.
You say, "Brother Philippe, woman too"? Yes, Brother, when God spoke to Adam in Genesis 2:16, He was talking about woman. On the one hand, that tree of the knowledge of good and evil was Eve. When you see those girls with their lower belly out, legs out, skirts showing off their bottom, even if it is a sister, beware of her! It is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Do not eat of it!
When you see those girls with false hair, those girls in trousers with their breasts out, it is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And you shall not eat of it until God covers her with the shadow of Life like Mary and authorizes it to you by dowry with the blessing. You shall not have sex before marriage, that is to say, the dowry. You see?
Now let’s take Revelation 12:1, "And a great sign was seen in the Heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars." That is the image of the tree of Revelation 22 and it is the woman. And you sisters, when you see them like angels ready to buy you a half of the world saying things like, "I want to have a serious relationship with you ...", beware! It is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. You see?
And notice that in the beginning Eve was called Isha, that is to say woman. But when she prostituted herself, her name became Eve, that is to say the mother of all living, the mother of all the sons of Adam and all the sons of the serpent. Similarly, when a church prostitutes herself, you will see another name than Church of Jesus Christ.
In a certain epoch of Christianity, when the church of Jesus Christ prostituted herself, her name was changed to Catholic. Then, when she got up again and prostituted herself in the long run, her name was changed to Methodist. And when she got up again by another messenger and prostituted herself after this messenger, her name was changed to Baptist. You see? Pentecostal, Adventist, and so on.
And if, in the midst of the Bible, the tree of Life is manifested as being the Word, also know that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil has been manifested as being theology and they are her lovers, those Catholic, Protestant, evangelical and Branhamist priests and pastors, including those of Islam and Judaism. And the midnight Cry says that even if you are traveling, you must not eat or drink of the cup of their doctrine. They only preach the good and the evil, that is to say morals and the Bible says that they are poor, blind, wretched and naked.
And to close, I would like to say that you cannot understand what I am saying unless you consider the spiritual and physical scope of those two trees. For example, in John 12:28 to 29, it is said, "... There came therefore a voice out of Heaven, I both have glorified and will glorify It again. The crowd therefore, which stood there and heard it, said that it had thundered. Others said, An angel has spoken to him."
Well. What will you consider? A thunder or a voice? You see? That's it. And in the evening time, one day, while William Branham was with some Brothers hunting, there were three thunderclaps, but instead of that, William Branham heard three words pronounced with a loud voice: "judgment West Coast” and two days later, a powerful earthquake struck Alaska.
Thus, you must see this tree of Revelation 22 spiritually as the river and the four main streams of Genesis 2:10. You say, "Brother Philippe, does Genesis 2:10 talk about a spiritual river”? Yes, Brother, it is in a vision of Moses and observe a bit and you will see that a river does not supply streams.
The natural side of Genesis 2:10 is not possible. A river does not flow into streams, but rather streams that flow into a river. It is therefore spiritually the Lord Jesus Christ and the four Gospels, the Lord Jesus Christ giving power and authority to the four living creatures around the throne and to the twelve apostles. Amen!
